When dads are involved, great things happen for kids!

Join other dads/male caregivers and their children ages 4 -10 at the Family Connection Centre to share the experience of parenting. Topics include the role of a super dad, importance of nutrition and physical activity, communication, and child development. Each session will include an individual family activity, food, parent education with childcare and a group activity.

This first session will focus on (Re) Connecting to Indigenous Culture, Teachings, and Important Ceremony considerations.

Walking in two worlds can be hard, join us to increase your confidence in connecting the little ones in your life to Indigenous Culture. This series will help us better understand Indigenous parenting and proper protocol in a safe and welcoming space.

Childcare is available for children 0 – 10 years old.

A program designed to help parents and caregivers become aware of their children’s needs. Parents learn to understand and interpret behaviour issues and respond appropriately. As observational skills increase, so does the confidence of parents and caregivers in responding to the needs of their children. This helps build a strong emotional foundation. Childcare is available. Pre-registration is required.
