A positive food environment includes various components that contribute to the promotion of healthy eating habits. This session explores strategies to create positive food environments that foster the development of a positive relationship with food.

The group is for youth in Grades 5, 6, 7, & 8.
Each week the group will look at how to make healthy lifestyle choices in a fun and engaging environment. Youth will participate in a physical activity and a cooking activity meant to support lifelong health.
Each week will have a story, activity, and cooking component. Children will be sure to enjoy this fun and interactive program.
For Dads (or other male caregivers) and children aged 5 – 9 years old. Registration is required.
Parents are encouraged to include their children 4 – 5 years old in mealtime preparation, follow simple recipes, experiment with different flavours and play around with food. Parents are required to attend.

The program involves a series of age-based group learning sessions that focus on healthy eating, physical activity, community engagement and offers children easy to use tools to support healthy lifestyle choices.
