Join Psychologist, Joel Pukalo, as he shares strategies to support self-regulation from personal and professional experiences as an educator and a parent. This session will offer practical strategies to build emotional awareness and understand co-regulation and self-regulation. Parents are encouraged to bring questions or specific areas of challenges their children may be experiencing at this time.

Children are constantly moving their body and enjoy both fine and gross motor movements. Please come and join our Occupational Therapist, Jana Bromley,  while she explains the difference between fine and gross motor skills and how you can support these to further develop in your child.

Executive Functioning skills provide critical support for learning and development, and while we aren’t born with these skills, we are born with the potential to develop them through interactions and practice.

Through games and playful activities, children can practice and strengthen important executive function skills that will help them throughout their lives, including learning to focus their attention, strengthening their working memory, and developing basic self-control

Creating a positive food environment for early learners is important for their growth and well-being.

A positive food environment includes various components that contribute to the promotion of healthy eating habits. This session explores strategies to create positive food environments that foster the development of a positive relationship with food.

We have the power of two professionals from our school division presenting on Sleep, Sensory needs, and Co-regulation in the early years.
