The following Parkland School Division Early Childhood Parent Sessions & Connections are being held February 20, 2026, from 9:00am – 10:00am at the Family Connection Centre.

Parents and caregivers can choose between three different sessions:

1. Working on Speech at Home: Claire Burry (Speech and Language Pathologist) will offer families valuable information about children’s speech and language development. She will provide you with practical tips for practicing at home, in the car, on the playground, and on the go.
2. Toileting Needs: Join Rebecca Strong (Occupational Therapist) in a conversation about toileting readiness and supports for your child. Even if you are unsure if your child is ready, she will provide you with future tips and strategies that you can try when they are ready.
3. Planning for Transition: Join our early education facilitators as they share information and strategies for your child’s transition from Early Education to Kindergarten. This session will offer you a clear picture of what you can expect from your child’s teacher and the new school. Additionally, we will provide you with tips that you can do at home to prepare your child for Kindergarten.
